My first book, The Art of Coorie, is a Waterstones bestseller. It's been translated into French and Russian and looks at life in contemporary Scotland. You can buy it here.
My campaigning journalism into allegations of physical assault and sexual harassment in high-end restaurant kitchens won Highly Commended in the Scottish Press Awards' Scoop of the Year category in 2022. My coverage of restauranteurs skimming tips from service staff helped to change the law in 2023.
In 2021 my investigation into the Scottish cladding crisis won me Regional Property Journalist of the year at the UK Property Press Awards. That year I was also named Travel Writer of the Year at the Scottish Press Awards and came Highly Commended in the same category in 2022.
In 2019 I was the recipient of the Mairi Hedderwick Travel Writing Award from Moniack Mhor, Scotland's creative writing centre, which enabled me to work on my second book.
